“Meditation is not about having yet another new strategy of self-help plan, but rather providing a framework in which to see yourself more clearly.”
~ Andy Puddicombe
Discovery Session
A half-day Personal Retreat
Isn’t it interesting that life and career planning is something we often push to the bottom of our ‘to-do’ lists? Yet nothing could be more important than figuring out what you want most from your life, your business, or your career.
This half a day ‘deep-dive’ discovery session will help identify your strengths, your values, and your idea of a great life (or a great business). We’ll also uncover your limiting beliefs and the ways you self-sabotage. You will come out of the session with an action plan for moving beyond these barriers.
Discovery sessions will focus on
Exploring your strengths and values
Clarifying your passions and interests, then identifying how you can bring these together in your business or career
Uncovering your limiting beliefs and methods of self-sabotage
Gaining a clear understanding of why you’ve been stuck and gathering insights into how you can move beyond those obstacles
Creating specific and measurable personal and professional goals
Developing an action plan to create immediate change
Location options
We have venues across the tri-state region that provide the private retreat needed to focus, inspire and learn.
If you have a location or venue that you find personally motivating we can work to secure a private space to conduct a session.
Time
Discovery sessions are 4 hours of intensive, personal work.
We offer morning (9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) or evening (5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.) EST sessions. We can accommodate a limited # of weekend requests. Please note that weekend requests book quickly so there may be a waiting period.
What we will do
Your session includes a range of exercises including defining your values, brainstorming your version of an ideal life, and uncovering your limiting beliefs. We include light refreshments (although we won’t stop working) and four hours of one-on-one time where it’s all about you. If the weather is good (and you feel inclined) we can take a walk or sit outside.
Once you make your booking, we’ll send you some preparatory work to complete before your discovery session. Please allow at least two hours before your session to complete this.
Then you’ll need to just come along and bring a sense of open-heartedness, some courage, and the willingness to work hard for four hours. Wear comfy clothes (you may spend some time sitting on the floor) and please make sure you let us know of any dietary requirements.
After the session
Try to allow a few hours after your session to be alone. We’ll be covering a lot of content, so you’ll need some time to take it all in. You might feel a bit drained afterward.
In the days and weeks after your session, you’ll have clear action steps to take (we’ll have worked these out during our session) and we offer the option for a few follow-up sessions at a special rate.
Is a discovery session as effective as ongoing coaching?
We work on the same content in a discovery session as we cover four sessions of coaching. The benefit is that you get to do all of the work in one day so it’s deep, it’s convenient and it’s focused.
If you decide you want ongoing coaching after your session, you can request a session at your convenience.
